Blasphemy, murder and the Lord don’t mix when religion and reason collide before the jury in court.
University graduate student David Stone publicly challenges Pastor, and unknowingly threatens Pastor and Sister Leah’s lifestyle of crime, corruption, and debauchery. David is arrested for blasphemy and contends the State must first prove the existence of the god he supposedly denigrated --- to a jury, in court, using the standard Rules of Evidence. Can the prosecution sustain its burden of proof?
God on Trial is a novel about critical thinking, and challenges readers to ask themselves What do I know and how do I know it? David contends people should be embarrassed to hold beliefs not based upon evidence and reason, and in the case of religion, beliefs they cannot even define.
God on Trial is not for the faint of heart or the closed of mind.
You will be shocked.
God on Trial eBook Richard W Morris
It would have been better if less time had been spent detailing the depravities of the corrupt church and politicians.. The discussions of the philosophy are well done. It's a long book to prove that the teaming mass of stupidity that is humanity hasn't changed much in 2000 years.Product details

God on Trial eBook Richard W Morris Reviews
Morris Illustrates the inner mind set of the leaders of church and state and their desire to keep people poor and ignorant so they will remain dependent upon the false saviors who lead the tribes.
Not about the God whom I know! Probably a valid message about phony ministries but couldn't get past the gratuitous trash and filth. Gave up after the first chapter

If only the book kept to the trial and philosophy classes I would have given it four stars. Bringing down the book is all the explicit sex talk. So explicit I feel the readers of Penthouse letters would blush!
While reading the book people would ask if they could look at it. I would either try and change the subject or hope they would not open it to the wrong X-rated page and wonder what the heck I was reading. Not a book I could lend to someone without warning them first of the explicit sex talk.
My recommendation is start the book on page 192 (the beginning of the court trial) and skip the sections not dealing with the trial or philosophy class.
Once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down. This book takes you on a journey through the sides of religion most people have never heard of, and wish they never did.
I also mention this book in my article[...]
I found this book to be extremely well written, thought provoking, and philosophically challenging. Almost too philosophically challenging! Makes one question pseudo churches and their behind the scenes practices even more. Also makes one think about the influence of the church on our judicial system and points out the inherent weakness in both. I would recommend this book to some of my more open minded and cerebral friends. All in all, a very entertaining read.
A very tall order to prove God does not exist? Well Morris does a very thorough attempt to do just that! as with many who question the unseen maker the story does make a case for the timeless question "who made God?" we still await that answer and maybe Morris in his wisdom will one day answer that question...the story line was great and kept me turning the pages.....see for this book
